Slopes and lifts

Madonna di Campiglio is located on a spacious sunny meadow, at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level, at the foot of the Dolomiti di Brenta mountain group (3175). A common system of cable cars and trails connects Madonna with the resorts of Folgarida (1350) and Marilleva (1400) located in the neighboring Val di Sole; you can move between them without taking off your skis. The total length of tracks in the region is 120 km. A total of 45 cable cars operate on the slopes.

The ski slopes surround Madonna on three sides - from each of them you can ski down almost to the center of the resort. A new 8-seater gondola lift delivers to the Cinque Laghi sector (2064). A good, medium difficulty FIS 3Tre track with several high-speed sections in the upper part starts from a mark of 2160 m. At the bottom of the slope is the famous Canalone Miramonti (700 m), the venue for the annual stages of the Ski World Cup.

The Pradalago area (2100) from Madonna can be reached by a 12-seater gondola cable car. Upstairs there is an uncomplicated training ground with a comfortable 4-chair lift. On a long, four-kilometer "blue" trail, beginners will easily descend to the Campo Carlo Magno area, to the 6-seater gondolas that stretch to the opposite slope of the Groste (2500). More experienced skiers with Pradalago go on long ski trips to Val di Sole, on the trails of Marilleva and Folgarida, where skiing is quite interesting. In the direction of the Madonna itself, the winding forest descent of Amazzоnia leads, unfortunately, always quite crowded: be careful, do not cut off those walking from above.

The west-facing upper slopes of the Groste are open, wide and very gentle; the lower sections are also slightly more difficult. The slopes from the neighboring Spinale (2100) are steeper, but they are more "red" than "black", quite suitable for skiers with average training. The only exception is the very bottom hilly section of the Direttissima trail (no. 25).

The Pinzolo resort (800), located in the Rendena Valley, half an hour's drive from Madonna di Campiglio, has its own small (about 30 km of pistes) ski area. From below, a 6-seater gondola lift delivers to the ski area at Doss de Sabion (2100); at the top, there are some nice "red" trails that are served by four chairlifts. Trained skiers are advised to pay attention to the Competition professional downhill slope.

The hotel is good. Renovation, furniture, plumbing, bed linen - in excellent condition, no comments. Very clean and comfortable.

Breakfasts were the same every day, but with a good assortment - so you could diversify your menu simply by choosing different dishes.

There is a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, cream in the room. We enjoyed it. Tea was added daily. Linen and towels were changed twice a week.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, there is no noisy crowd. There are several direct tram routes to the center (both to the railway station and to shopping centers, and to the main attractions).

The ride is less than half an hour. 2 stops near the hotel: one right under the windows, the other a 5-minute walk.
