Dzhubga name history. Dzhubga: attractions, photos, videos, reviews

Among the multitude tourist cities of the country there is a wonderful city called Dzhubga, which is ready to receive tourists with open arms and surprise them not only with excellent services, but also surprise with its views. It is relative small village, which has a very interesting story.

The first settlements in the city were in 1864, which suggests that the city is relatively young. Initially, the city was founded as a military settlement where the troops of the Shapsug battalion stopped. Initially, there were sixty-five families in the city. In total, the number of residents did not exceed three hundred and sixty people. These people settled at the mouth of the river. Over time, residents began to ennoble their settlement, build new buildings, houses, and thus began to develop the city. When the battalion was liquidated, the residents of the city had already settled down normally, built housing for themselves and did not want to leave their homes.

Over time, this settlement was given the status of a volost. The inhabitants were assigned to the Black Sea province, and the village continued to develop. For a long time this graying was not paid much attention, but the development of the parish and small settlements in the district led to the need to rename it. The Dzhugba volost became the center of the Dzhugba region. Already in 1925 the village became an administrative center. People were attracted by nature, and over time, more and longer people came here who were ready to live there.

But already in 1935, a number of districts were drawn throughout the country, and the Tuapsky district, to which this settlement belonged, also got there. And the village was attributed to the Gelendzhik region. But this was not the last administrative change in this town.

Years passed and the settlement developed more and more. When the census was carried out in 1960, there were already three hundred and forty-six families living here. The city required further development and new schools appeared, libraries and a wide variety of entertainment institutions were upset.

And already in 1966, this city was given the name of a resort village, which allowed it to develop in a tourism direction.

On the this moment the city is home to more than five thousand indigenous people and many visiting tourists. This is one of the most best resorts The Black Sea coast, which attracts every year more tourists... In addition, the entertainment industry is actively developing here. Dzhubga water park is one of the most beautiful on the coast. Also, the city has eight hundred meters of wonderful and simply incredible beautiful beach, which just asks to sunbathe on it. Almost all beaches are crystal clear and filled with white sand. Small Mountain peaks reveal before you the beauty of the rocks polished by the sea breeze and heavy winter rains. As well as sandy beaches, there are a number of beaches of mixed sand and pebbles.

This is a wonderful place to relax with a family circle, the village, like many years ago, has retained some calmness and silence, this place is ideal for those who just want to calm down and stay in silence, and high-quality service and friendly people will help you with this. Beautiful sandy beaches intertwine and large boulders, which are located right on the seashore, and all this is simply filled with wonderful plants of various colors.

In addition to the beautiful sea, you can also enjoy the wonderful Dzhugba waterfalls in this city. They are located in the rocks, which gives this place a special beauty. The number of waterfalls is six and they occupy a total area of almost a kilometer. This is an indescribable beauty that must be seen for sure.

An excerpt characterizing Dzhubga

"Where is it, this high sky, which I did not know until now and saw today?" was his first thought. Nor did I know the suffering, he thought. - Yes, I didn’t know anything until now. But where am I? "
He began to listen and heard the sounds of the approaching trampling of horses and the sounds of voices speaking French. He opened his eyes. Above him was again the same high sky with floating clouds rising even higher, through which the blue infinity could be seen. He did not turn his head and did not see those who, judging by the sound of hooves and voices, drove up to him and stopped.
The horsemen who had arrived were Napoleon, accompanied by two adjutants. Bonaparte, circling the battlefield, gave the last orders to strengthen the batteries firing at the Augesta dam and examined the dead and wounded who remained on the battlefield.
- De beaux hommes! [Handsome men!] - said Napoleon, looking at the murdered Russian grenadier, who with his face buried in the ground and the blackened back of his head was lying on his stomach, throwing one already numb hand far away.
- Les munitions des pieces de position sont epuisees, sire! [There are no more battery charges, your majesty!] - said at this time the adjutant, who had come from the batteries that fired at Augest.
- Faites avancer celles de la reserve, [Tell me to bring it from the reserves,] - Napoleon said, and, having driven off a few steps, he stopped over Prince Andrew, who was lying on his back with the flagstaff thrown beside him (the banner had already been taken as a trophy by the French) ...
- Voila une belle mort, [Here is a beautiful death,] - said Napoleon, looking at Bolkonsky.
Prince Andrew understood that this was said about him, and that Napoleon was speaking. He heard the name of the sire of the one who said these words. But he heard these words, as if he heard the buzzing of a fly. He not only was not interested in them, but he did not notice, and immediately forgot them. His head burned; he felt that he was emanating blood, and he saw above him the distant, high and eternal sky. He knew that it was Napoleon - his hero, but at that moment Napoleon seemed to him such a small, insignificant person in comparison with what was happening now between his soul and this high, endless sky with clouds running over it. He was absolutely all the same at that moment, whoever stood over him, whatever said about him; he was glad only that people stopped over him, and wished only that these people would help him and bring him back to life, which seemed so beautiful to him, because he understood it differently now. He gathered all his strength to move and make some sound. He feebly moved his leg and made a weak, painful groan, which had pity him, too.
- A! he is alive, - said Napoleon. - Pick up this young man, ce jeune homme, and take him to the dressing station!
Having said this, Napoleon drove on to meet Marshal Lan, who, taking off his hat, smiling and congratulating him on his victory, drove up to the emperor.
Prince Andrew did not remember anything further: he lost consciousness from the terrible pain that caused him to be put on a stretcher, tremors during movement and sounding of the wound at the dressing station. He woke up only at the end of the day, when he was connected with other Russian wounded and captured officers and carried to the hospital. On this movement, he felt somewhat refreshed and could look around and even speak.
The first words he heard when he woke up were the words of a French escort officer, who hastily said:
- We must stop here: the emperor will pass now; it will give him pleasure to see these captive masters.
“Today there are so many prisoners, almost the entire Russian army, that he is probably bored with it,” said another officer.
- Well, however! This, they say, is the commander of all the guards of Emperor Alexander, - said the first, pointing to a wounded Russian officer in a white cavalry guard uniform.
Bolkonsky recognized Prince Repnin, whom he met in the Petersburg world. Next to him stood another 19-year-old boy, also a wounded cavalry officer.
Bonaparte, rode up at a gallop, stopped the horse.
- Who is the senior? - he said when he saw the prisoners.
Colonel, Prince Repnin was named.
- Are you the commander of the cavalry regiment of Emperor Alexander? Asked Napoleon.
- I commanded a squadron, - Repnin answered.
“Your regiment has done its duty honestly,” Napoleon said.
“The praise of a great commander is the best reward for a soldier,” said Repnin.
“I will give it to you with pleasure,” Napoleon said. - Who is this young man beside you?
Prince Repnin named Lieutenant Sukhtelen.
Looking at him, Napoleon said, smiling:
- II est venu bien jeune se frotter a nous. [He appeared young to compete with us.]
“Youth doesn’t interfere with being brave,” said Sukhtelen in a broken voice.
“An excellent answer,” Napoleon said. - Young man, you will go far!
Prince Andrew, for the sake of completeness of the trophy of captives, also put forward, in front of the emperor, could not fail to attract his attention. Napoleon apparently remembered that he had seen him on the field and, addressing him, used the very name of the young man - jeune homme, under which Bolkonsky was first reflected in his memory.
- Et vous, jeune homme? Well, and you, young man? - he turned to him, - how do you feel, mon brave?
Despite the fact that five minutes before that Prince Andrew could say a few words to the soldiers who were carrying him, he now, directly fixing his eyes on Napoleon, was silent ... He seemed so insignificant at that moment all the interests that occupied Napoleon, he seemed so petty his hero himself, with this petty vanity and joy of victory, in comparison with that high, fair and kind heaven that he saw and understood - that he could not answer him.
Yes, and everything seemed so useless and insignificant in comparison with the strict and majestic structure of thought, which caused in him the weakening of strength from the expired blood, suffering and the close expectation of death. Looking into Napoleon's eyes, Prince Andrew thought about the insignificance of greatness, about the insignificance of life, which no one could understand the meaning, and about the even greater insignificance of death, the meaning of which no one could understand and explain from the living.

Dzhubga- resort village in Gelendzhik region Krasnodar Territory; located at the mouth of the river of the same name on the Black Sea coast. In the 19th century, the village was one of the centers of Malaya Shapsugia. Among the seaside Shapsugs, the toponym was pronounced as - Zhyubgu. There is no unambiguous interpretation of the translation of this toponym. Some researchers associate the name with the modern Adyghe zhybge, zhybga - "breeze". It is no less likely that the toponym contains the Adyghe element bgyu - “shore”. Sometimes the second part of this form is understood as "wide". Compare the Kabardian toponymic term "sh1eubgyue", meaning "wide lowland". The variant "lunar glade" mentioned in the local history literature is unreasoned linguistically. Dubois de Montperet points out that in the wide and convenient valley of this river "there must be one of the Burgs, if not the capital, of the country of the Zikhs." Further, Monpere tries to establish continuity between the Drenecherkess ethnonym Zikhi and the contemporary toponym: "This name (Zega and Alba Zicchia -" White Zikhia ") seems to have found an extension in the name Djuvga (Dzhuvga), which is used along with Diouhoubou (Juhubu)" ... However, such an assumption seems to be very far-fetched.

This dictionary entry describes how the origin of the name can be explained or translated into Russian Dzhubga... This decoding (explanation) of this toponym is given according to the book by A.V. Solid " Toponymic dictionary Caucasus ".

There are possible, and even likely to be, typos and inaccuracies caused by both scanning and post-processing. Alone all of them "catch" the strength is not enough, but you can - I will fix it. Also, due to the fact that this collection of dictionary entries contains books by several authors, different interpretations of the same name are possible - this is normal - the truth is born in a dispute. I would be grateful for the sent additions, clarifications and other works on toponymy

The mountain is so named because, in fact, it is very similar to a hedgehog that came to drink water to the sea. There are places in the bay where you can enjoy scuba diving and fishing. The beaches in Dzhubga are wide sandy and sandy-pebble, stretching along the sea for 800 meters. The beaches of Dzhubga are safe for swimming. One of the largest tiled dolmens in the Caucasus has survived in Dzhubga. It is located on the right bank of the Dzhubga River, 1 kilometer from the sea, on the territory of the former Tsentrosoyuz rest house. A powerful megalithic structure up to 2.5 meters high, up to 4 meters long and up to 3.5 meters wide dates back to the second half of the 3rd millennium BC.
At the exit from the village, to the left of the road, there is a concrete sculpture of a dinosaur - the creation of a local self-taught sculptor. In his courtyard, this sculptor created the Nature and Fantasy Museum. The exhibits of the museum are expositions of wood materials: snags, branches and roots of the most bizarre forms.
On the territory of the Tsentrosoyuz rest house, located on the slopes of the mountains along the right bank of the Dzhubga River, there is a small forest park with exotic plants.
Not far from the village of Bzhid, which is part of the Dzhubga resort area, there are two bays - Golubaya and Inal. Golubaya Bay is located about 5 kilometers from Dzhubga towards Gelendzhik, at the confluence of the Bzhid River into the Black Sea. The bottom of the bay and the beach are made of very dense greenish-gray limestone, which gives the water an amazing bluish tint.

The village is located in the Tuapse region, about 60 km from Tuapse and 110 km from Krasnodar. The urban settlement included in the recreation area is the closest to the regional center resort village on the coast.

Locals and townspeople like to spend weekends here, as well as many tourists who are attracted by the natural landscapes of Dzhubga, the mild climate, the warm sea and spacious beaches.

Geography and climate

The universal map of Dzhubga (with sights and access roads) shows that the settlement is located at the mouth of the river of the same name on the shores of the Black Sea bay, surrounded by mixed forests.

From Krasnodar to the village there are highways (M4 and M27), both of which are about 110 km long. The path passes through Adygeisk, Hot key and the Caucasus passes.

It should be noted that the beaches in the resort are sandy and sandy-pebble. All of them are wide enough, so it is convenient to rest on them even for large companies.

The climate is subtropical, Mediterranean type. Summer is dry and hot, and winter is warm and humid.

As a rule, autotourists going on vacation to the village of Dzhubga are interested in sights no more than the availability of campsites and autoturbases.

An ideal place for accommodation, according to many travelers, is the Zarya camp site for motorists, offering summer houses and buildings for 700 places (425 in winter).

Here, on the coast, there is also a boarding house "Dzhubga", which has its own equipped beach.

How to get to the resort

There is no railway connection in Dzhubga, and the nearest airport is located in Krasnodar. From the bus station "Krasnodar-1", located next to the railway, regular buses run to the village. The journey takes about 2.5 hours. The ticket price depends on the route (100-150 rubles).

There are direct buses from other cities of Rostov, Sochi, etc.). From and Goryachi Keys are also sent route taxis(fares practically do not differ from bus routes).

It is best to get to Dzhubga by private transport, which is convenient to travel to beaches and bays. The quality of the roads is good, and the track is easy to navigate. Only in the season should you check in advance the availability of parking lots near your accommodation, as there are a lot of cars in the resort at this time.

The history of the village

Talking about interesting places in Russia, one cannot fail to mention the village of Dzhubga. Sights, excursions and trips around this city are somehow connected with its history.

And the very name of the settlement came from antiquity, translated from the Adyghe language it means "valley of the winds". Although there are other translations: "level place", "a place where the fog spreads" and even "night beauty".

The village of Dzhubgskaya was founded at the mouth of the river in 1864, after the eviction of the indigenous inhabitants - Shapsugs. The village was the headquarters of the Shapsugsky coastal battalion.

Initially, about 360 people (65 families) lived here. Now in these places is the Stanichka microdistrict. After the battalion was liquidated in 1870, the settlement was renamed into the village of Dzhubga, which later became a village.

By 1905, the village consisted of 74 households of Russian peasants. The main impetus for the development of the village was the construction of a shipping company. Customs, post office, telegraph office and visiting summer residents appeared in the settlement.

In 1935, a rest house was opened in Dzhubga. At the same time, a park was founded, which adorns the village today. And in 1966 the settlement was given the status of a resort village.

The coast of Dzhubga is located between Cape Shapsukho and the town of Hedgehog, which, according to the plan, actually looks like a thorny animal.

Itself got its name in honor of the first Christian preacher, who appeared in the 5th century on. Little is known about his fate.

Features of local hotels

The choice of accommodation for vacationers is quite diverse: from the private sector to ordinary hotels and guest houses. The difference in price depends, first of all, on the level of the provided service and equipment.

The private sector and hotels can be located at a distance of 300 m to 3 km from the sea. Accommodation near the sea must be booked in advance.

When choosing a place to stay, do not rush to pay. Better to see the rooms or read reviews and photos. Inexpensive lodging options can be found offshore. But here, too, there are advantages: silence, clean air and low prices.

What to see in Dzhubga? The city's attractions

It should be noted that the settlement is famous more for its natural beauty than for architecture, monuments and museums. Numerous travelers come here precisely to enjoy the silence, birdsong and deserted coastline.

True, the resort has its own water park with many different water attractions for adults and children. Eponymous entertainment center with an area of 20 hectares located under open air... The water park is open from 10 am to midnight; in the evening, youth foam discos are often held here. Due to the heat during the day, the ticket price from 14.00 to 19.00 is slightly cheaper than in the morning. However, one cannot but pay attention to the fact that the water park does not work during the cold season.

In summer, local beaches host youth entertainment at night.

In the vicinity of the village, you can see an ancient dolmen, about which many legends and mystical stories have been circulating for a long time.

Taking an excursion to the Colonel's Falls, to a dry gully, or is recommended for active travelers. However, the organizers warn that about comfortable shoes and sportswear should be taken care of in advance.

A picturesque panorama of the coast opens from the top of Mount Ezhik. Here, at any time of the year, you can see romantic tourists and photographers hunting for stunning pictures of the sunset or sunrise.

In addition, the sights of Dzhubga, photos of which can be found in guidebooks of the region, cannot be imagined without the Museum of Wooden Sculpture, which contains carvings made from natural material by the local master Gzhelyaka A. M. The exhibition is called "The Quirks of the Forest".

The beautiful legend of Dzhubga

There is a sad legend about the name of the Dzhubga River. In ancient times, a noble Shapsug, who had a beautiful daughter Dzhubga, lived in these parts. The father allowed the girl to walk in the garden only at night, so that no man could see her dazzling beauty. Many wooed her, but her father refused to all suitors. Once the young man made his way into the garden and kidnapped the beauty. The couple in love disappeared into the mountains. But the father tracked them down and killed her husband, and Dzhubga was forcibly taken away. The grief-stricken "night beauty" threw herself from the cliff into the river, which began to be called by her name.

According to an old legend, the village of Dzhubga, whose sights are now known far beyond the borders of the region, arose after the armistice of the warring Adyghe tribes. In honor of this, a feast was arranged, at which the elder broke a jug for good luck. By his order, a village named Bzhid ("broken vessel") appeared on this place.
