Sometimes on the way you come across obstacles in the form of fallen trees, vines and other attributes of tropical forests. But don't worry, they are all easy to overcome. The distance from the parking lot for mopeds is about one kilometer. Usually, most travelers limit themselves to this waterfall.

The path to the second, medium-sized Lake Ni is already more difficult. We'll have to climb boulders. But this little trip is worth it. There are much fewer tourists here, and, accordingly, the feeling of unity with nature is much higher. The lake water is colder, but still suitable for swimming. If you are going to swim in this lake, be sure to follow the prompts indicating where you can swim, and where it is highly undesirable.

And, finally, the third, most inaccessible and already sparsely populated (one might say practically deserted) waterfall flows into Lake Ba. The path to it assumes that you have some mountaineering skills, since in fact there is no road there, and you will have to climb rather dangerous slopes. Sometimes you will be supported by staples driven into the rocks, and sometimes just lianas. The third waterfall, although the smallest, is very impressive. Few travelers reached it, so such an ascent can rightfully be considered a victory. As a reward, you can plunge into the lake, but this is not recommended, since the water is already very cold and the beaches are not equipped here.

When planning a trip to Bajo Falls, it is worth considering some recommendations.

• be sure to use high-quality shoes that are most suitable for a camping trip (you probably realized that stiletto heels and an evening dress would be inappropriate here)
• do not hike in heavy rain or immediately after it. The paths will be blurred, and climbing wet rocks and hills is much more difficult and dangerous.
• such a trip is not recommended for children, old people and not very hardy people
• along the way, you will not come across tents with food and souvenirs. The locals have adapted to selling water, beer and some food to tourists, but considering the exotic local cuisine and the questionable quality of cooked food, we still recommend that you stock up on food and water in trusted places
• expect to spend at least 3-4 hours on this journey

Ba Ho Waterfalls

After about 7 kilometers there will be a sign and an arrow indicating a left turn towards the Ba Ho waterfalls (suối Ba Hồ). You cross the railway crossing and then go straight all the time. Along the way, you can admire the views of the Vietnamese countryside.

The entrance to the park is paid - 15,000 VND. Parking is paid separately, it will cost no more than 3000 VND for one motorcycle. After entering the park, you need another 20-30 minutes to get to the waterfalls on foot along specially laid paths. As already mentioned, there are three of them in total, and it is more and more difficult to get to each subsequent one. For example, to get to the third waterfall, you have to practically climb huge boulders almost vertically upwards. But this has its advantages: most tourists do not go further than the first waterfall, which means that on the second and third you can enjoy the views of nature when no one will distract you.

Fairy Spring Waterfalls

These waterfalls are located 20 kilometers southwest of Nha Trang. Most of the visiting travelers do not know about these waterfalls, so the main visitors here are local youth. The price of a ticket to the park is 10,000 VND, a parking space for a bike is 3,000 VND.

Fairy Spring Waterfall near Nha Trang is a small cool stream and a small swimming pool that can be reached after a short walk through the jungle. The place is great to visit in the summer months, but in the winter the water is too cold for swimming.

The source of water, from where the stream with a waterfall begins, is located in the region of Mount Hon Ba - the most high point this province. Thap Ba Hot Springs

Thap Ba mud springs are located just four kilometers northwest of Nha Trang. The staff, as a rule, even speaks Russian.

Prices in Thap Ba depend on the number of services you want to receive. In addition, the cost of staying, for example, in the mud and mineral baths will depend on whether you are taking a "personal" bath or a shared bath for several people. However, if there are not many visitors to Thap Ba, there is a chance that, even having bought a ticket to the shared bath, you can enjoy it alone or with only your company.

Access to hot springs and a waterfall is available for VND 50,000. For an additional 100,000 VND, you can visit everything else: mud baths, hot or cold showers, jacuzzis, hot waterfalls and swimming pools. "Hold on tightly to the rocks and follow my footsteps.", - a thin and fragile Vietnamese grandmother volunteered to take us along huge boulders and rocks to the bizarre mountain waterfalls of Baho, which is near Nha Trang. For ordinary thirty-year-old travelers, the route is not difficult. But we are with three-year-old Arina, who quietly sits in her dad's backpack behind her back and holds him tightly by the T-shirt. It was a real adventure! Maybe not as extreme as in the Philippine El Nido when. And not as dangerous as in Thai Krabi when. But still Bajo waterfalls we will remember for a long time.

I have already written many times that we prefer to go on excursions on our own and do not use the services of agencies... On this day, we rented a bike and drove north from Nha Trang along the Hanoi highway. We spent the whole morning, a photo report from which is already in this blog. And after having lunch at a small cafe on the marina, we drove to the Baho waterfalls. Finding them is easy. From the northern pier, drive north along the main road for seven kilometers. Further there will be a pointer with the name "suối Ba Hồ"... Near it you need to turn left through the railway crossing.

Then the road will go through a gorgeous cemetery at the foot of the mountain, then there will be a village where locals ask for money for pictures of pets ... and finally a narrow road will lead directly to natural park with waterfalls.

The entrance ticket costs 15 thousand dongs ($ 0.75), the official parking lot of the bike is 3 thousand ($ 0.15)... Further - on foot for about thirty minutes through the jungle.

The path is constantly in the shade, so even at noon it was not particularly hot. Sometimes the civilized road gave way to such an outrage.

The main thing here is to go straight all the time and not turn anywhere.

On the way, there are small and not very living creatures. We saw an iguana the size of a small cat, but it quickly retreated... And this kid sat and posed for the camera on purpose.

You walk along this path in the jungle, and there is not a soul around. We already thought we were lost, but we saw people.

Vietnamese grannies sell water and drinks. And since there are not many tourists here, the main entertainment is to swing in a hammock and chat about this and that.

If you want to go to waterfalls, climb giant boulders. You need to follow the red arrows all the time, broadly painted with paint right on the stones.

Sometimes you also have to overcome such small water obstacles.

And this group of Vietnamese never reached the first waterfall and arranged a bachelor party very close to the entrance. I don't know what they were doing there - they played dominoes or drank beer ...

We went up the arrows and suddenly found that two grandmothers were following us. One showed the way and gave Sasha her hand during difficult descents and ascents. The second granny helped me in every possible way and chatted in understandable English. Remembering that, I immediately began to torture the grandmothers, how much their services cost. They assured that we can give as much as we want ourselves. Well, great, let's move on.

To go to the first waterfall no more than 10-15 minutes. Sometimes you come across difficult areas when you have to climb a rock or squeeze through such cracks. But almost any tourist can do it.

And so we came to the first waterfall. I must say right away that there are three of them. The majority of tourists are content with swimming in the first stream and do not go further.

The water in Bajo is cool, very refreshing after a long journey. V beside one large stone suddenly stumbled upon cleaning fish... It was rather ticklish that they ripped the rags off our heels.

Arinka has learned to float well and can even swim five meters on her own.

The current in front of the Baho Falls is not strong, there are boulders everywhere, which slow the flow of water. It is safe to swim here.

After swimming a lot in the first waterfall, we followed our pensioner guides to the second. Here the track was already more difficult.

Arinka was sitting in her backpack and held tightly to Sasha. If you do not have an ergonomic backpack, then it is better not to go to Baho Falls with small children.

The second waterfall belonged entirely to us. In the entire hour that we were there, we did not see a soul!

Sasha and Arina trained diving for the Sochi Olympics... It is immediately clear that Arinka is the future champion!

Of course, less could have been given, but I was struck by the flexibility, strength and dexterity of these women, who are already closer to sixty.
