Rest in bulgaria primorsko. South Bulgaria resort - Primorsko

This place, located not far from, is unique in its kind. Not so long ago, it was impossible to get there, since the territory was given over to the residence of the Secretary General. But now this place combines a conservation area and a youth recreation center. It should be noted that such an unusual neighborhood benefited the younger generation, who learn to appreciate the purity of nature in the process of rest.

Hotels in Primorsko, Bulgaria

For recreation, tourists are provided with a variety of living conditions. If you like a comfortable stay with all possible services in order to feel like on European resort, at your disposal are Primorsko hotels with three, four or five stars.

There are also excellent boarding houses or sanatoriums where families with children often stay. There is no need to worry about the weather, since the temperate subtropical climate combines very warm air and well-heated water, and at the same time does not disappoint with exhausting humidity. So even in very hot weather, you will not feel the characteristic heat fatigue.

Primorsko beaches in Bulgaria

The beaches of the city are conditionally divided into South and North. If you consider yourself an active holiday lover, feel free to go to the North Beach. There is a constantly stormy sea, therefore surfers and windsurfers have chosen these places for a long time. For lovers of idle felting on the beach or families with children, the South Beach with its calm, gentle coastline, which is completely protected from the winds, is more suitable.

It is in the southern part that the beaches for recreation in Primorsko in Bulgaria are equipped for tourists as much as possible. This clean and landscaped area is separated from the village by a river and a lake, so you will have to get across a bridge. The northern part is less comfortable, but about two more in length. In addition, the sand on the North Beach is coarse, therefore the water is noticeably cleaner, and all jellyfish are usually blown away by strong waves.

In the town of Primorsko in Bulgaria, you can always try yourself in different sports. You will be offered to ride a scooter, fly on a motor-dinghy, and you can also take diving or surfing lessons. So leisure tourists can combine with a passive pastime on sun loungers.

Primorsko town in Bulgaria - attractions

In the resort of Primorsko in Bulgaria except good hotels and excellent beach holiday you can visit several interesting places... For example, it is worth seeing the Ropotamo nature reserve. This is beautiful place the locals once called it the Bulgarian Amazon and did it well deservedly. Above the picturesque rocks, open branches of trees hang, a river flows. The excursion itself also takes place in a rather active mode: tourists are offered to raft on a boat along the river and see all this beauty from the inside. You will have enough impressions for the whole year.

Primorsko in Bulgaria also boasts the most beautiful Arkutino botanical garden. The entire territory of the garden is conditionally divided into three main zones, according to the theme. The garden is also located near the Ropotamo River, its uniqueness also lies in the fact that it is located in the middle of a flooded forest. So, in addition to the most beautiful unusual plants, you will be lucky enough to meet some of the monasteries in these places. Herons live there with swans and turtles right in the freshwater swamp.

The town of Primorsko in Bulgaria to this day remains a mystery and a place of pilgrimage for archaeologists. This place is called Cape Maslen Nos. The fact is that there are traces of different cultures and peoples on this territory. There you can find echoes of the stay of the Romans and Slavs, Thracians and Hellenes. There is even an ancient solar calendar, an altar, the Church of St. Paraskeva and the remains of fortresses.

Surely many of you are familiar with such Bulgarian resorts as Sunny Beach or Golden Sands. I suggest you get to know a fundamentally different Bulgarian resort - Primorsko, which boasts the cleanest and longest beaches in the country.

Primorsko - small town located 50 km south of and 70 km from the Turkish border. By the way, charter and regular flights from Moscow and other cities of Russia arrive exactly at the airport. Tickets from Moscow to Burgas can be found at a very favorable price: just a week ago we bought a one-way ticket in this direction for only 2700 rubles (43 Euro)!

The permanent population of Primorsko is about 7,500 people. During the season, from May to September, the population of the city increases significantly. Thanks to its own and rental apartments, the city is popular with European tourists. A lot of Czechs, Slovaks, Poles rest here, sometimes there are Germans. There are not so many vacationers from Russia, because the resort is not very popular among Russians. Therefore, if you want to take a break from your native speech, go here, and not to Sunny Beach, where you feel like in the Russian south. Of the compatriots, there are only owners of real estate in Primorsko who come to stay in their apartment for the summer.

Primorsko is located in cozy bay at the very foot of the Strandja Mountains. The city is constantly developing: new hotels are being built in it, roads are being laid. We have been to Primorsko several times already and regularly note for ourselves that every year the resort becomes more and more attractive for tourists. For example, in 2014 there was no trace of this square.

This sports ground not far from the embankment was also built literally before our eyes.

Now the town does not look as well-groomed as we would like, but huge beaches with clear water, cheap vegetables and fruits, and accommodation make up for this shortcoming. People come to Primorsko to have a rest with children. such broad sandy beaches in Europe - not such a frequent occurrence.

There are 2 beaches in the city: north and south. We like to sunbathe on the north beach more, because it is bigger than the southern one. The entrance to the sea is shallow, very convenient. Lifeguard booths are set up along the entire perimeter of the beach and flags are posted depending on the weather. Red flag - no swimming, yellow flag - waves, green flag - calm.

On the beaches you can rent an umbrella and a sun lounger (each for 5 leva) for the whole day or sunbathe on your own towel. On both beaches there are a lot of cafes where you can have a snack with doner or spring rolls, drink Bulgarian or Czech beer, buy ice cream. If you are too lazy to go to the food, the food will come to you by itself: merchants of delicious Bulgarian pastries - kalachi and boiled corn - ply along the beach all day.

Here you can ride a banana or bun, go water skiing and a catamaran. Lying on the beaches is quite comfortable: no one lies on your head as if Sunny Beach... The only thing is that the beaches are overcrowded on weekends. the vacationers are joined by the Bulgarians who have come to the sea for the weekend.

On the northern beach, there is some kind of eternal trouble with toilets: there are very few of them, and they are constantly closed. The northern beach is separated from the city by huge sand embankments, which are not always convenient to climb, especially if you are vacationing with children. However, the Bulgarians have already laid wooden platforms at the entrance to the beach, making it easier to get around.

The city has a very long embankment, on the stones of which an unknown artist painted portraits of famous Bulgarian and world figures. There we met with Lermontov.

In the evening, just magical views open from the embankment.

Where to eat in Primorsko?

Due to the Czech specifics of the resort, in Primorsko you will find a bunch of restaurants with Czech dishes and Czech Starobrno beer. I have already written about the Bulgarian dishes that you should definitely try in the article. All restaurants have a menu in Russian. An average lunch (soup, second, beer) at the Primorsko restaurant will cost you 7 leva (3.5 Euro) per person.

Be sure to try the fish, which tastes in no way inferior to fish in restaurants in Croatia or Spain, but costs several times cheaper. The Bulgarians cook fish on the grill, and it turns out a dietary dish. In addition, I advise you to try shrimp and mussels.

We really enjoyed going to these restaurants:

  • Valchan voyvoda... Restaurant address: st. Iglika, 16. It serves excellent chicken soup (soup pill) and stewed stuffed peppers (carcass liver). From draft beer, I recommend taking Tuborg. Live music is played here in the evenings.
  • Plovdiv... Restaurant address: st. Breeze, 9. A hotel restaurant with an excellent view of the embankment and the northern beach of Primorsko. The menu includes traditional Bulgarian food. I recommend ordering meat in a frying pan (mixed scara) or Black Sea fish. It is good to meet sunsets here, when the sun slowly rolls over the horizon right before your eyes. The restaurant is good not only for its appearance, but also for its excellent cuisine.
  • Gull... Restaurant address: blvd. Black Sea 11. Restaurant of Bulgarian cuisine, located a little further from the city center in a quiet part of it near the seashore. Various dishes of Bulgarian cuisine are offered here: salads, meat pans, meat and fish dishes, seafood, desserts, drinks and wines.
  • Lagoon. Restaurant address: st. Laguna 11. Restaurant with Bulgarian cuisine with live music and a swimming pool. You can come here for cheap dinners.

Where to stay in Primorsko?

Primorsko is good because both wealthy and budget tourists can find a good option here. I suggest several best hotels city in terms of location and amenities.

  • Perla Beach Hotel III. Hotel address: st. Georgi Kondoluv, 19. The rooms of this hotel offer excellent sea views. The adjacent area has a large swimming pool and waterslides... The beach is very close - a short walk from the hotel. Cost of living: from 50 Euros with breakfast for two per day.
  • Grand Hotel Primorsko (since 2017 called Primorsko del Sol). Hotel address: st. Iglika, 38. The most famous Primorsko hotel, the green facade of which can be seen from almost anywhere in the city. The hotel does not belong to the category of cheap: accommodation in it will cost you from 100 Euros per night with breakfast for two people.
  • Hotel Plamena Palace. Hotel address: st. Oasis 13. The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the north beach. The territory has its own pool, near which breakfast and dinner are served. Convenient and a budget option: from 50 Euro per night for two with breakfast.
  • Modern inexpensive apartments on the Airbnb website in the center of Primorsko.

If you don't have money for a hotel, you can stay in rooms rented by locals. Just when walking around town look for the words "Free flocks" or "Flocks for rent" (which means "rooms for rent"). The cost of 1 night stay in such a room will cost you 20-25 leva (10-12.5 Euro). Free rooms can be found even in high season.

Finally, I want to give you a couple of tips on what is best to bring from Bulgaria for family and friends. So, my personal top gifts from Bulgaria:

  • Cosmetics with rose extract (hand and face creams, shower gels, lip gloss);
  • White cherry or fig jam. I strongly discourage buying rose petal jam, it's just awful;
  • Bulgarian ceramics (painted pots, plates, mugs);
  • Embroidered towels and tablecloths;
  • Bulgarian wine (Mavrud) and rakia;
  • If you fly directly, you can take with you fresh cherries, strawberries, because you will not find such delicious houses at home.

Holidays in Bulgaria became popular even under the socialist system, because the citizens of the Soviet Union did not have much choice of places to travel. But to this day, many tourists come to Bulgaria not only from the countries of the former USSR, but also from Europe. Indeed, at the moment it is a European state, and tourism is also developed here at a high level. If Bulgaria is your choice for vacation, Primorsko is a city that is definitely worth a visit.

Several reasons to relax in Bulgaria

Still, some people do not consider it necessary to go on vacation somewhere outside their native country. They prefer to go to the Crimea, to Sochi, or they consider the time spent on the river, near the lake in a tent, by the fire as the best vacation. But there are factors that help convince people that they should opt for Bulgaria as a resort.

There is almost no language barrier here, because adults have studied Russian before. At the resorts, most of the staff also communicate freely with our tourists. If you rest, as they say, "savages", then problems should not arise either. Bulgarian and Russian languages are very similar, so there will be no problems with translation.

If you do not like the long way to your holiday destination, then you can fly to Bulgaria in just a couple of hours. Well, then you will go to the hotel where you booked your room.

It is very easy to get a visa to enter Bulgaria. The state is part of the European Union, but the Schengen agreement does not apply to tourists who want to visit Bulgaria.

The country has an excellent warm climate. On the Black sea coast very gentle sun and not too salty water. So, the weather in Primorsko (Bulgaria) is very warm, but there is no stuffiness and exhausting heat.

The opportunity is provided to have a good rest with any budget. You can stay in a hostel or the luxurious Grand Hotel Varna, buy souvenirs for any amount, since many branded items are sold at a decent discount. And what a tourist would leave Bulgaria without perfume or a small ceramic trinket!

One of the best resorts

Bulgaria can really be proud of such a recreational area as the Primorsko resort. The territory houses the largest youth center in Europe. Thanks to him, this place is gaining more and more popularity every year. Primorsko is a city located in southeastern Bulgaria, on the Black Sea coast. Tourists can find a lot of entertainment in this place, relax on their own, with a group of friends or with small children. A favorable ecological situation is observed both throughout Bulgaria and in Primorsko. All this is conducive to a family vacation.

Geography of the resort town

The town of Primorsko is located on the rocky peninsula of Kyupriya, near the Strandzha mountains. Bulgaria is famous for other resorts as well. Primorsko is surrounded by two bays: Stampolo and Devila. The city can be easily reached from Burgas airport. This is very convenient for those who do not like the long journey to the resort and back home. Since the flight is short-lived, the close location of the airport can only please any tourist. This is Primorsko's main advantage over others.

The distance to the town of Tsarev is short - only 15 kilometers. You can reach it by car in just half an hour. Therefore, you do not have to worry that you will have to be in small town... The population is small. The number of its inhabitants is approximately 4000 people. But Primorsko can receive 70,000 guests a year from different parts of the world.

History of the town of Primorsko

Very ancient history has the country of Bulgaria. Primorsko is also no exception. Not far from the city there is Cape Masleniy. Quite recently, scientists have found here an old solar calendar, which was presumably made by the Thracians Beglik-Tash. They worshiped the sun. This calendar consists of two stone circles with holes, into which the sun's rays penetrated on the days of the solstice and equinox. Archaeologists still argue about the age of this find. Some believe that the calendar was made in the 14th century BC. Other scholars disagree with this figure. But the fact that the calendar is at least 7000 years old is clear to everyone.

Also, archaeologists found household items, thanks to which it became clear that there was a connection between the present Primorsko, Greece and Crete. Scientists have discovered the remains ancient city Ranule, which was a large port settlement.

During the existence of the Ottoman Empire, the village of Chengen was located on the territory of the resort. Later she was given the name Kyupria, and then her real name. Previously, no one could enter the territory of the resort, because it was in this area that the residence of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Bulgaria Todor Zhivkov was located. It was called "Pearl". Now any tourist can come to the city.

The beauty of the land in Primorsko

The nature in the city is very beautiful, and you can admire it for ages. This is probably why Bulgaria recognized Primorsko as a protected area. Here you can find exotic and rare plants that will certainly interest any tourist. Meet here pine forests, probably familiar to every Russian tourist. And the unique rock formations will attract the eye and surprise any person. Even the people working in this resort town, sometimes they cannot take their eyes off such natural beauty.

The ecology of the resort area

Primorsko has very clean mountain air, so it is not in vain that people come here not only to swim in the waters of the Black Sea, but also to improve their health. This resort is visited with children very often. Indeed, in many places where we live permanently, so often there is not enough oxygen, the air is saturated with exhaust gases from cars.

The reserve, which is located in the Primorsko zone, is called "Ropotamo". It attracts tourists with the presence of unique rock formations on its territory - the Snake House, as well as the Lion's Head.

Also, guests who are attracted by Bulgaria, Primorsko can please with the beauty of two water streams: the Devil's River and the Ropotamo flowing not far from it. The guests of the resort really like them. On the surface of Ropotamo, you can see rare ones that have been listed in the Red Book and are protected by law. This river flows into the Black Sea, which has a very clean coastline. For this achievement, the resort received a special Blue Flag award back in 1994. Since then, despite the years that have passed, the maritime strip is still clean.

Climate in Primorsko

The climate in the resort is warm, there is no heat, and a light breeze blows from the sea. The average air temperature in July is about 27 degrees Celsius, but sometimes it rises to 33. The weather in the city is mostly sunny, so you can sunbathe with pleasure, and warm days last from April to September.

Thanks to the mountain air, even a week of vacation will bring health benefits. Bulgaria offers to combine a pleasant pastime with healthy air and sea baths. Adaptation is quite easy, so very often children rest here with their parents. Everyone is completely satisfied with the days spent in Primorsko.

Even if you come to the city in winter, the weather will not disappoint anyone. The climate is mild and temperate. There is a small amount of precipitation here, and the air is dry. It is not cold in the city in winter. The temperature even in January most often exceeds 0 degrees on the thermometer and rarely reaches a value lower than -1. But the amount of precipitation is replenished in the winter. Most often it is rain or sleet. In general, winters are mild and not frosty here.

Sights of Primorsko

In order to see all the sights, you obviously need the map "Bulgaria, Primorsko". You can either buy it at a store in the city itself, or use an internet connection.

One of the attractions is the former residence of Todor Zhivkov - the one that previously made it impossible to enter the territory of Primorsko.

Also, if you drive only 10 kilometers from the city to the village of Yasna Polyana, you can visit the museum of the great Russian writer who worked in the 19th century - Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy. This attraction really deserves the attention of a tourist. After all, isn't it interesting to look at things that belonged to a man who not only so talentedly described World War II 1812, but also created a painting featuring more than 500 different characters?

Youth Center - the pride of Primorsko

Also attracts a large number of young men and women, the largest in Europe Youth Center, the organization of events in which is always at the highest level. On the territory of the center there is the famous House of Culture and the Summer Theater, a large beautiful stadium where you can exercise on your own to keep your body in shape. Although a short half-hour walk in the fresh air will only be beneficial.

Aquapark in Primorsko

Aqua Planet is located in the central part of the sports complex, built specifically for the entertainment of visitors. Many tourists have already visited this water park in Primorsko. Bulgaria is proud of this place for fun and relaxation. The water park is the newest and most beautiful of all such establishments, which were built exactly on the Black Sea coast. He has already managed to gain recognition and popularity not only among children who adore such entertainment, but also among adults who are vacationing in Bulgaria, namely in Primorsko.

It has two large swimming pools where you can swim among the waves. Of course, they cannot be compared to the sea surf. But letting children swim in the pool is much safer than in the sea.

There are a large number of different slides with very intriguing and original names. Also, even an artificial river was created for small children and a special pool for them.

Tickets are purchased not according to the age of the children, but in accordance with their height - such a few places can be found. This is another plus for the water park's originality.

Hotel selection

There is one amazing place in Bulgaria on a relatively equal coastal strip: a wide and long cape, like the nose of a huge cruise ship, the resort of Primorsko stretches into the sea. However, this is far from the whole uniqueness of this place. Primorsko, in fact, is protected area, with pristine forests, rare plants and wild animals, with remarkable rock formations and rich historical heritage ancient civilizations. And so, in the midst of this fragile ecosystem, in a place that until recently was completely closed to tourists, since here is the former residence of the Bulgarian Secretary General Todor Zhivkov, Perla, one of the largest youth centers in Europe was built, more than 80 rest homes, all kinds of camps and tourist centers for children and adolescents, accommodating up to 70 thousand tourists annually!

In a word, Primorsko with its pristine two-kilometer-long beach with soft fine-grained sand cannot but please tourists tired of the bustle of big cities. Guests will not be bored here, because the Bulgarian Primorsko is the largest youth center in Europe with all the attributes of this "title".

Primorsko beaches

Primorsko is located in southern Bulgaria on the picturesque green slopes of the Strandzha mountain range. The land protruding far into the sea forms a peninsula and divides the beaches of Primorsko into the North and South in the bays of Stampolo and Diavolski. Depending on their personal activity and preferences, vacationers can choose or combine two completely different sea areas. It can be the North Beach with its stormy open wind sea, favored by surfers and windsurfers. Or the calm South Coast, stretching for almost a kilometer, reliably protected from the wind by the peninsula, with a gentle coastline and warm water.

The southern beach, which is considered to be more comfortable, is separated from resort village Lake Dyavolski and the river of the same name, therefore, to get to the southern coast with fine clean sand, you need to cross the suspension bridge. The northern beach, however, has its own important advantages, it is twice as large in territory and you can always find secluded places on it, far from the numerous stacks of sun loungers and towels with the sunbathing bodies of holidaymakers.

Another great beach is located near the former residence "Perla", where a small train runs from the center of the resort. Basically, it is not crowded here, so you can enjoy the sound of the surf, swim in clear water, watch small crabs or collect mussels.

The beaches of Primorsko were marked by the legendary Blue flag for the purity of their waters.

In 1994, the resort was awarded the Blue Flag, which is assigned to beaches and yacht and boat moorings that meet the main characteristics of the international program and guarantee vacationers clean beaches and the sea, the necessary beach infrastructure and safety.

Entertainment and attractions Primorsko

Primorsko acquired the title of bio-atmospheric reserve or eco-zone thanks to its stunningly rich, often endemic vegetation. In the city itself there are many parks and alleys with broad-leaved trees, beeches, oaks, famous for the fact that citrus fruits are grown here. Primorsko adjoins the Ropotamo nature reserve, which is widespread at the mouth of the river of the same name, also called the "Bulgarian Amazon", among the rocks overhanging the sea. The reserve received its status in 1940 and since then has become one of the favorite national parks and a popular excursion destination for tourists.

Thanks to this rafting, it will be possible to see and take pictures against the background of the unusual natural sights of Primorsko, rock formations of bizarre shape, the most famous of which are the "Lion's Head" and "Merry Rock". Also noteworthy are the dunes and rocky caves along the way.

In the reserve "Ropotamo" you can find unique species of plants and animals, most of which are listed in the Red Book of Bulgaria. In total, there are over 100 different plant species, 250 bird species, roe deer, deer, fallow deer, wild boars, bears, turtles and a large number of various freshwater fish live in the river. And if you swim to the bay at Cape Maslen Nos, which flows into the Black Sea, you can see dolphins and seals.

Botanical Garden "Arkutino"

Another well-known protected place in Primorsko is the Arkutino botanical garden, divided into biothematic zones named Serpent Peninsula, Water Lilies and Sea Wormwood. Arkutino, which means "bear swamp", is located among a sparse longous forest (flooded, flooded forest) and near the Ropotamo River. There is an unusual swamp-lagoon with fresh water, where herons, swans and turtles live. Paradoxically, some species of rare cacti grow very well in this wet, swampy area. But the main advantage of Arkutino is the population of beautiful water lilies. In addition to traditional white and yellow egg-pods, a rare plant grows here - a water rose.
