    Story

    In the vicinity of the Chelyabinsk railway station, there was a Nikolaevsky village built up with low-rise private houses. In 1965, a new building of the railway station was built, the Privokzalnaya square was significantly expanded in the south-west direction. On the south side, the area was limited to the full width by the vocational school building. Earlier on the site of "Sinegorya" there was a store for agricultural products. During the Second World War, one of the workshops of the Krasny Proletary plant evacuated from Moscow was deployed there. In August 1945, trade school No. 19 of the Ministry of Labor Reserves was opened at this place (since 1962 - GPTU No. 5, now - GBOU SPO "Chelyabinsk Mechanical and Technological College"). In the 1980s, the building occupied by the GPTU was demolished and the Elizbar market was equipped in its place. In the 1990s, it was decided to build a shopping center with a bus station in its place (Previously, the Yuzhny Avtovokzal was located on the first floor of the northern wing of the railway station building). It was originally planned to build only a bus station with a multi-level parking lot.
