Since September 2015, the rules for obtaining a Schengen visa have changed for Russians. To purchase it, all citizens over 12 years old need to go through the fingerprinting procedure. Unfortunately, not all Russian regions have visa centers that issue such biometric documents. To do this, many will have to travel to neighboring regions, which, naturally, can turn out to be financially difficult and inconvenient.

But it happens that a person has the opportunity and desire to go abroad quite unexpectedly. There may not be time to apply for a visa. In this case, he can always go to those places where he will not be required to provide permits. There are enough such countries. There are about a hundred of them and they are in all corners of the globe.

Most popular visa-free destinations

Traditionally, the countries of the former Soviet Union remain the centers of attraction for Russians. They are close by, many have relatives or friends there.

It is not yet possible to provide an exact list of countries where you can travel without a visa, since laws are constantly changing everywhere, as well as political situation in the world. But I must say that this list can be divided into two parts. One includes states that you can travel to with an internal passport, and the other includes countries that require a foreign passport to visit.

With internal passport

Any Russian citizen with a passport is free to enter the territory Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as two republics unrecognized by the world community - Abkhazia and South Ossetia... By the way, the last two have really been in demand among Russian tourists lately. There is something to see in the republics, the locals are always friendly and happy when people come to visit them.

With a foreign passport

The rest of the countries of the former USSR (except for the Baltic states and Turkmenistan, which require a visa) are ready to accept Russians with a valid foreign passport, which will still be valid for at least 90 days. This applies to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, where the requirements for the entry of Russian citizens have also become more stringent recently and a foreign passport is required without fail.

All visa-free countries for Russians can also be divided into separate categories. There are countries and dependent territories where our compatriots can freely rest for three months, in others the agreed terms of tourist stay are more modest.

Up to 15 days

If this is ordinary tourist trip, then 14 or 15 days is quite enough to get a quick glimpse of the main attractions and culture of the selected country. For today (and, tentatively, for 2016), such conditions are provided by the following countries and state entities:

Up to 30 days

Many would dream of spending a whole month traveling in a distant country. True, towards the end of this period, there would hardly have been those among them who would not have begun to yearn for their homeland.

Up to 45 and up to 60 days

In special cases, tourists plan to spend more time on the trip, for example, up to 45 or 60 days. Some countries give Russians such an opportunity:

Up to 90 days

There are quite a few countries that allow Russians to stay on their territory for 90 days without a visa. And these are not only the former Soviet republics.

Besides...

In some states, residents of Russia can stay even longer. For example, in the Republic of Fiji, Russians can legally stay without a visa for up to 120 days, and in Armenia - up to 180 days.

The system of receiving tourists in China is also interestingly built. If Russians are allowed to stay in Hong Kong without a visa for 14 days, in Macau - 30, then on the island of Hainan - 21, and in Shanghai, Beijing, Harbin and Guangzhou - only 72 hours, and this privilege applies exclusively to travelers who are in transit there. The fact is that in China in each province, and sometimes in the city, there is a set of laws and rules for admitting vacationers, and in most Chinese territories visa documents will still be required from Russians.

In addition, there are about fifty other states where a visa is issued to Russians upon arrival at the place. By the way, this list also includes states that are formally considered visa-free. For example, a visa is not required to Syria, but many travelers are not allowed beyond the airport, and therefore knowledgeable people advise in advance to issue permits at the embassy in advance.

It is, of course, too early to think about this, but the higher echelons of the authorities are seriously thinking about the abolition of short-term visas for Russians who want to visit France. More recently, this was reported by Jean-Maurice Ripert, who is the French ambassador to the Russian Federation. According to him, in his homeland they are interested in increasing the tourist flow between the countries, but so far other members of the Schengen zone are hindering this.

It is possible that by 2016 a number of other countries will revise the system of entry into their territory for citizens of the Russian Federation.

Before going to any country, find out in more detail how the visa-free program is implemented in it. Indeed, some of them have special rules, the observance of which is mandatory for all tourists, especially those who come under a simplified scheme.

Sometimes a tourist may be required to show return tickets, confirm a hotel room reservation, and also prove his solvency. Such conditions can apply to the vast majority of territories that allow people to come on vacation without special permits.

But there are also more subtle features.

In Tunisia, you do not need a visa only organized tourists on a direct flight from Russia. And in South Korea- only to those who landed on Jeju Island, as well as in the case when the guest can prove that in his life he visited Korea at least 10 times or at least four times in the last two years.

And also our tourists may face such a problem that the airport staff will simply not know that there are some special conditions, this applies more to small exotic countries, and then you will need to urgently make inquiries and prove your right to be in that territory without special permission.

And of course, don't forget to take out travel insurance. With a medical policy, you will feel much more confident abroad, and if something happens, it will significantly help you save money.

Which countries can Russians travel to without a pre-issued visa in 2020, just one passport is enough.

In total, 119 countries are available for Russians in 2020, where they can fly and go without a visa. To visit them, it is enough to have a foreign passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Some states give permission to enter the border. And there are those where you need to apply for a visa in advance, but this can be done online and as soon as possible.
