Young Bay is located about 45 km from Nha Trang, in a vast area among the jungle and mountains. Cambodia 3 days / 2 nights

Day 1:
In the evening: arrival in Siem Reap, meeting with the guide and transfer for dinner at local restaurant... Dinner and dance show with "Apsara" dance performance. Classical Khmer dance is a rather unique art form. The performers of such performances are skillfully dressed, the movements, gestures and postures of the dancer are of particular importance in the performance. The execution itself is slow, measured. But folk dance is more dynamic, the performances are not devoid of romanticism and humor.

Day 2:
After breakfast, visit the ancient capital of the 12th century Angkor Thom and the Bayon temple complex. On 54 towers of the temple there are more than 200 images of faces that change their expression under different lighting conditions.
Also, during the tour, you will see the elephant terrace, the Hindu temple Phimeanakas and the Terrace of the Leper King.
The tour continues with a tour of the Wat Tmey temple. On the territory of this small temple is a glass structure with the remains of victims of the Khmer Rouge. According to various sources, from 1 to 3 million people became victims of the Khmer Rouge.

Angkor Wat is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Built in the first half of the 12th century during the reign of King Suryavarman II. As part of the urban development complex, Angkor is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Day 3:
Breakfast in the hotel. Eviction.
Arrival at the port. A boat trip, during which you will see a floating village, whose inhabitants earn their living by fishing, and a pagoda located on a secluded island. You will sail through the flooded forests inhabited by many fish and birds.

Dalat

Cham towers and sunset in the dunes

You will also take a trip to the ancient Cham towers of Poshanu, located on a hill with a stunning view of Phan Thiet. Phan Thiet and Mount Taku

On the cable car stretched over the jungle, you will climb to the top of Mount Taku (height 470 meters). From here you can enjoy breathtaking views of Phan Thiet and its surroundings. There was an old French cemetery, where, however, high-ranking officials of South Vietnam, including President Ngo Dinh Diem, who was ousted in 1963, were buried. Converting the cemetery into a park was not an easy undertaking. Members of Vietnamese families received notifications about the need to reburial the deceased within two months. Unclaimed remains were cremated. The burials of the French military were returned to France.

So in 1983 a park appeared here, which was named after the young patriot Le Van Tam. His feat during the first Indo-Chinese war shocked the entire city and remained in the history of the Resistance. A small boy selling peanuts in the port of Saigon doused himself with gasoline, set fire to it and ran into the port fuel and ammunition depot. The guards at the entrance were confused at the sight of a child engulfed in fire, and he managed to get inside. The explosion was so strong that many thought it was an earthquake.

After the unification of the country, schools, streets and cinemas were named after the boy-torch. It is absolutely true that the park on the site of the French cemetery was also named after the legendary fighter against the French invaders. There is a monument to him in the park.

Today Le Van Tam park serves as a place for mass sports. In the mornings it is full of townspeople. They go jogging, badminton, aerobics, kung fu, tai chi, just walking. During the day, elderly people and mothers with children come here to take a walk in the fresh air in a green oasis in the middle of the city. And in the evening, rock and roll of the sixties and seventies sounds here. People of all ages come to listen and dance.

Districts of Nha Trang

Officially, Nha Trang is divided into 28 districts, I will not describe each of them, I will schematically mark on the map and describe only those districts that will be of interest to tourists, winterers and long-livers in terms of rental housing: a hotel, apartment or house.

There are four main areas in Nha Trang:

Southern region - number 1 on the map-scheme
North of Nha Trang - number 2 on the map
Central region - number 3
Vinh Diem Trung or simply the area near the Big C supermarket - number 4

Southern region

South region of Nha Trang is considered an area in the south of the city near the cable car to Vimperl and the guarded cottage village of An Vien. The advantage of this area is silence and tranquility 🙂 And the disadvantage is the almost complete lack of infrastructure. There is a small shop, a couple of cafes, but everything else will have to go to the city center. Therefore, there is nothing to do without a bike in the south of Nha Trang. During the day you can get to the center or to the north by bus # 4, and in the evening you will have to take a taxi.

IN cottage village An Vienne is home to villas and houses of wealthy Vietnamese. The territory is closed, well-groomed, constantly guarded. In An Vienne, you can rent a house from $ 500 per month or settle on a mountain near the villages in apartments - from $ 250 per month.

On the territory of An Vienne is located, which belongs to the hotel of the same name. This is a small beach covered by a breakwater; such a small puddle of salt water forms in the sea (for me it is a depressing sight 🙁). But when it is impossible to swim in the center of Nha Trang due to strong waves, Paragon Beach remains quite swimable. Due to the constantly calm sea, this area of Nha Trang is often chosen by families with small children.

North of Nha Trang

Northern region of Nha Trang - the area behind Cape Hon Chong. This area is still not very well-developed infrastructure, although small shops and cafes are present here and there are much more of them than in the south of Nha Trang. Most of the hotels are quite close to the beach, literally across the street. The beach in the north of Nha Trang is shallow and less prone to storms than the Nha Trang beach in the city center.

The north of Nha Trang is often chosen by centenarians, especially families with children. There are low prices for long-term rent, you can rent not only an apartment or an apartment, but you often come across offers for renting houses for a long time (from 6 months). Popular complexes among long-livers are the U Plaza Nhachanag and Muong Thanh apartments, a spacious apartment with a kitchen in which you can rent for 400 - 800 dollars a month.

The area near the Big C supermarket

Vinh Diem Trung District often referred to as the area near Big C, because it is located near this supermarket. Vacationers do not need to stay here at all, but long-livers should consider this area for living for the following reasons:

Large selection of long-term housing
For $ 250-400 a month you can rent a new well-equipped apartment, maybe even with two bedrooms.
An area for wealthy Vietnamese and, accordingly, the contingent lives here
The infrastructure is well developed, more and more cafes and restaurants are opening
The area is very quiet

The only disadvantage of the Vinh Diem Trung area is the distance from the sea about 3.5 km, but when you have been living in the country for several years, you rarely go to the sea 🙂

Gorky Park area

The area opposite the restaurant "Gorky Park" or Central Park is very popular with our tourists. Perhaps they are attracted by the name of the park? 🙂 Although it is still more likely that it is to the hotels located in this area that our tour operators sell tickets most of all.

Across the street from the hotels is the Central Park, where, in addition to restaurants (one of them is called Gorky Park, there are children's and adult pools, a walking path along the sea, a beach where you can rent sun loungers, free showers and toilets. And three restaurants with high (on my opinion) prices.

The only drawback of the Gorky Park area is that this part of the beach is very crowded! There are too many of our compatriots and it seems that you are somewhere in the Crimea or Anapa 🙂

There are not as many shops and cafes in the Gorky Park area as in the European region of Nha Trang, but still much more than in the north and south of Nha Trang. The prices for everything in the Gorky Park area, in my opinion, are a little overpriced in comparison with the European area. For example, even in the A-Mart chain store, water costs 20% more. But getting to the European quarter will not be difficult - the distance is less than a kilometer! But you will have to get to the nearest market or supermarket only by transport.

I advise families with children to choose the area of Gorky Park: even if there are strong waves in the sea, you can always swim in the pool.

There are many hotels in this area, prices are slightly higher than in the European quarter, but the level of hotels is also higher. Many hotels in Nha Trang in the Gorky Park area with rooftop pools and excellent sea views from the rooms. Would recommend the best hotels in this area in terms of price-quality ratio:

I can’t say anything about housing for a long time in the Gorky Park area, we weren’t looking for housing in this part of the city, and there aren’t too many streets - there aren’t any side streets, almost immediately after the first line the territory of the old airport begins.

Military hospital area

Quiet area very close to the European quarter, at night the noise is heard only from neighboring apartments, and not music from bars and restaurants. Opposite this area across the road is our favorite site - the beach near, there is also a toilet and shower. For some reason, this particular part of the beach is always less crowded and Europeans even meet here!

We live in this area of Nha Trang. There are literally a couple of cafes here that we managed to get around in the first days, but the food was not particularly pleasant anywhere. There is no A-Mart and the like here, but there are several small shops with everything you need. To have dinner, drink coffee and buy fruit, we go to the European quarter, fortunately, it takes only 3 minutes to walk 🙂

But our favorite Xom Moi market is almost 2 km away! Once we walked there for shrimps and realized that we shouldn't do this anymore, it's better to ride a bike 🙂 It's also a long way to all supermarkets, you can still walk to the Natrang center, and all other large stores can only be reached by transport.

With housing for a long time in the area of the military hospital, the situation is strange: on the one hand, it is here that we found several more or less suitable options for us at a price of $ 300-400 per month, and on the other hand, it is in this area that we most of all heard “Full ", I.e. most of the apartments and apartments were occupied or free for only one month, and not for the entire period we needed.

The European region of Nha Trang is the most touristic and lively area of the city. It is here that you will find everything you need: cafes and restaurants with Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese, European, Italian, etc. etc. food, bars, clothing stores, A-Mart and Perekrestok minimarket, pharmacies, fruit stands, massage parlors - in general, everything, everything, everything that tourists need (and not only!) for life. From the European quarter, you can quickly walk to the Xom Moi market, to the Nha Trang Center shopping center and even to the Maksimark supermarket.

The European region conventionally starts near the Star City Nha Trang hotel and ends near the Lotus Tower. For a reference point, the first, second and third lines of the European quarter are distinguished. When they explain how to get somewhere in the European region, they say so: on the second line behind the intersection or on the third line around the corner 🙂

Across the road from the European region of Nha Trang, there is a green park with benches, gazebos and exercise equipment. The Sailing Club Bar restaurant is located on the seashore. There are sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach (some of them belong to hotels in the European Quarter) that can be rented for 50,000 - 100,000 VND... The beach here is wide and quite clean, but the closer to the Lotus Tower, the more crowded and noisy. There are paid showers and toilets near the beach.

Most of the hotels in Nha Trang are concentrated in the European quarter. Many hotels in Nha Trang in the European region are built close to each other, in cheap hotels there may not be a window in the room or there may be a view of the next wall. But here you can rent a room even for 8-10 dollars per night! And also there are excellent 4 star hotels some are at a ridiculous price.

It is difficult to immediately understand the variety of excursions on offer, new names, locations and prices, even though the same attractions are often called by different names, to determine where it is better to go with an excursion, and where on your own. Well, I don't want to overpay for a trip in an air-conditioned bus at all.

Having lived in Nha Trang for more than two months and having examined most interesting places, we came to the conclusion that almost all the attractions in the resort can be explored on their own.

We will take the Lotus Tower on the embankment as our starting point.

Where tickets are needed, they are always sold at the entrance, at the point of boarding the ship or cable car.

By bus # 3 with an orange stripe (there are also other stops) you can get to the pier at northern islands, it passes not far from the Bajo waterfalls + walking acquaintance with the life of the Reglay tribe, Zoklet beach is the final one, next to the Vietnamese beach (analogue of Bai Dai) and the "bounty" Paradise beach.

The entrance to the beach is free everywhere. For additional money, you can rent a fungus from the sun, bungalows, sun loungers, etc.

We regretted not having gone to Dalat on our own. Traveling to the city eternal spring- Dalat, in a separate article. Be sure to visit there, preferably for 2-3 days.

The owner of the bike we rented warned us that it is not advisable to ride on long trips (Dalat 150 km, Mui Ne 250 km) on it, because when meeting with the police, a moped on someone else's license plates will definitely be stopped and may be fined, and he will have to go pick it up. Therefore, we made long trips on an exotic slip bass, and on the spot we already rented new "wheels".

We met with representatives of the traffic police only in the suburbs of Mui Ne on the road to the white dunes, they luxuriously settled in the shade around a sharp turn. They brought with them and put on the sidelines two desks and sat at them filling out documents. There were just not enough table lamps. Handsome men! Nearby is the obligatory tow truck.

Our group of 3 bikes riding into the desert was checked for paperwork. For lack of license, two drivers were threatened with a large fine in the amount of 800,000 - 1,500,000 dongs ($ 35-66). We were saved 200,000 ($ 9) from each intruder. We were so overjoyed that we forgot to photograph Vietnam's road police for history.

To draw up the route of the excursion, copy the coordinates of the object of interest to Google maps and build the route. Visit nearby attractions along the way. Spend 20 minutes gathering information and your day will be eventful and unforgettable.
